What does International Women’s Day mean to you as a female founder?

I see it as a moment to stop and to take note of all that women have achieved in the last year, and the years before that. To see how far we have truly come over the decades. We are all moving forward at such a pace, to slow down as see just how much we have achieved as a gender is incredible. And that should be celebrated.

In what ways are you working to amplify women's voices and stories, who may not have the same platform or opportunities?

One of the things I love to do most is to assist other woman, in particular, budding female entrepreneurs.

It’s wonderful to watch how empowered they become once they feel a sense of confidence and this sense of strength IS the platform which encourages other woman.

Who is the wisest woman you know and what have you learned from her?

This will always be my mother. Who for as long as I can remember taught me to believe in me, which is a skill that has set me up for life.

Tell us about the inspiration for the fragrance you chose to go with for the Ode to Women launch.

The Ode to Women fragrance has been formulated at the GLASSHOUSE FRAGRANCES atelier to echo the comforting sensation of being wrapped in soft cashmere wool thanks to the base note: cashmere essence. The overall scent boasts a beautiful lavender accord, a note that is often associated with the warmth of womanhood. At the heart of the scent is a French Lavender note exclusively acquired from a fragrance house in Grasse in Côte d'Azur, esteemed the world's perfume capital.

We’ve also used sweet white honey, and bright candied citrus, carefully balanced with spicy chypre, balsamic and vanilla notes for an added layer of complexity and to ensure the fragrance leaves an everlasting impression long after the scent has disappeared.

What can you tell us about the illustration collaboration you did with artist Weronika Anna Marianna?

For an extra special touch this year, we joined forces with Polish artist Weronika Anna Marianna. She is best known for her previous collaborations with international brands such as Loewe, Netflix, and Goop. Weronika's work provides an introspective into women's private worlds, investigating topics such as female intuition, self-acceptance, beauty, and companionship; her visuals are a true Ode to the female psyche.

For the Ode to Women capsule, Weronika's Venus-inspired illustrations celebrate the female form's beauty in all of its iterations. This sentiment is echoed in the empowering tagline that adorns the back of the glass vessel
"Here's to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them."
